Problem, problems, problems. Big problems, small problems. Problems swollen with emotion, problems picking intellectual interest. Entertaining problems; problems hard to let go. Annoying problems, uplifting problems.
The word problem has a negative tone to many. As a person whose career is about dealing with problems (whose isn't?), I have hard time understanding why. Problems are meant to be solved, they raise our curiosity and pick our interest. Some do that in an uplifting way, some problems are/seem so important and urgent that we cannot feel good until they are solved. And solving a problem feels good.
In essence solving problems is mainly about solving problems and is fun by itself. As a side effect, it tends to make our lives better, which is good.
What should I ask Joe Boyd?
